Silent River by 1-Renaissance Silent River by 1-Renaissance
From left to right:

Sorran (mouse)
Tawny (fox/vixen)
Runtan (water rat)
Rose (mouse)
Delgado (otter)

This scene comes from a book I will write later. The story itself is still building up and looking pretty good to me. So basically I won't go into depth with explaining this.

In this scene, mice Sorran and Rose join their former enemies (now allies) in their journey to the Rivernight Clans. However, the river holds many dangers waiting for them and the trees above herald an attack. Alert and armed, they take their chances and slip silently through. This is not only a test of their abilities, but a test of trust as they are former enemies and well armed. Sorran with his javelin, Rose with her sword, Tawny with oar and twin blades, Delgado with his poisoned darts, Runtan with his.....spear.

===============

Some added notes:

-Sorran and Rose (my sis's Redwall alter-ego she ditched) were my sister's OCs she gave me rights to use.

-Tawny's my Redwall alter-ego.

-Made the trees a bit more detailed like I said I would! :D:D:D

-Runtan caught some dinner!!!! :D:D:D
===================
I own all this. :D:D

Yep, I'm looking forward to it. All the Christmas shopping I could afford to do was my own and my sister's. Heehee, $53 on Transformers Animated action figures, I'm so selfish sometimes. But that was my money and I don't even have a job yet. But Christmas is about a month away so I have time. :D

Were you generous with Christmas shopping unlike me?

Sorry taken so long to reply. Like you I have been Christmas shopping and then wrapping them up. There are seven in my family and it takes ages to get them all sorted not to mention the cost!! Like you I don't have a job, pity money don't grow on trees I'd get real interested in gardening if it did!!
btw what happened to Cybercatmia one day she was on Deviant and the nxt she had gone-do you know what happened?

Is nice to see "Vermins" and "Goodbeast" working together.
Do you know the other way than using the word "Vermin", it sounds kind of racist. ^^;

"Delgado"? That's Spanish/Portuguese name right? ^^;

In my stories, I don't call them vermin. I call them.....I don't know. There is no stereotype for a group of animals in a sense that they are evil.

As for "Delgado," he has Spanish origins. :D

Got it! :D

Well, I call some of the bad guys "Terrorists". ^^; They do fit well to that word in academic dictionaries, and the bad guy bosses have 'big plans' through terrorizing innocent creatures. ^^;

Heh, heh... great looking team there! :D
I suspect, then, that your version doesn't follow the usual stereotype of foxes and rats being on the bad side, since these guys seem to be working together. :aww:
Love the pencil-shading and everything there - you have a lot of talent, really!

They're working together but the fox, rat, and otter were the mice's former enemies. So they're pretty much on thin ice.

:bow: and thank you.

Like the idea of Minotaurs fighting for Narnia in "Prince Caspian" - a common enemy unites the oldest of foes.

Yeah I really liked that. Those guys fought bravely too. And there were wolves as the good guys too!!!! Epic!

Yeah, I noticed that too! :aww:
Like, when one wolf is seen limping behind the children after that botched "Castle Raid" sequence... which wasn't even in the book anyway! ^^;

Awesomely epic and epically awesome! I really hope you use these sketches for the book's actual pictures when its published! :D :D :D

I like the otter and the rat best. :D The others are plenty cool, though. :D

Yeah I'm looking forward to that. :D

And I think the otter's my favorite. He's got a crazy part in the story too. At first he's seen as a traitor to his clan but on the side of the antagonist (whom he's a traitor to) to benefit the clan whom have his absolute loyalty.

I am totally lovin Sorran's vest jacket thing. Whatever it is, I wish I had one :D. I keep forgetting Tawny's a vixen. She looks more like a stoat or weasel to me. And the mice, kinda the same. In fact, I would say Sorran looks more like a cat of sorts. Just because I'm like a huge rodent fan and, well, they look more like cats in my eyes. Your Clutch drawing looks more like a mouse to me because of the face. It was longer. I think if you made your mice more like Clutch's long face, they would look more mouse like and less Gingivere like :D.

That otter sure is "skinny."

If this is the book with Oslo, I would probably rush by these chapters just to read about him. Not to be mean but realistic at how people are with books, I don't think Tawny and this gang would interest me much, Oslo's the coon I want to learn about :D.

Hmm...maybe I should look my mouse design over and see if I can rearrange it somehow. Heh, the drawing of Clutch was so long ago. :D

That "skinny" otter was starved in prison when someone pulled a Benedict Arnold on Tawny and her regiment.

Yeah that's how people are with books. Oslo comes in a book before this one and shows up again later in another where he is a High Captain of the 12 Gems of the Sea. But I don't want to go into depth with that.

I think the clutch drawing was really cute :love:. It looks more like a mouse than these.

LOL, Kinda ironic for a name :rofl: :XD:. An otter who was starved in prison just so happens to be named Delgado :XD: :XD:. I don't know if you get the joke, but I just find it really really hilarious. I wouldn't mind starving in his prison though. I got the same jolly spirit as my squirrel Vekio when it comes to solitary confinement.

Well I'm crazy to read about him :excited:. I have a huge feeling he'll by my next Gonff. He just looks so awesome, such a rogue, such a mysterious stranger. I don't know, I got to read about him. I'm naturally a patient person, but this is insane. If it isn't too much trouble, would you mind sending me a note spoiling everything about Oslo. Kel could tell you that spoilers never spoil anything for me.

I don't get the joke. What's so funny?

Thing with Oslo, I've got plenty of background on him but not everything. The whole story still needs to finish forming.

WAAAAAAAAH :cries: I hope once I read about him you wont mind if I write a fanfiction :D.

The joke is Delgado means skinny in spanish (or flaco). Now do you see the irony :D

What, a fanfiction about O. Z. RINGTAIL? I wouldn't mind, but dude, I didn't even write about him yet.

Meh...I'll try to give you as much background as I can for now, though. :D That's not much trouble.

Well that's ironic, I didn't know it even had a meaning! :D I just liked how it sounded.

What's also weird is that it's Spanish when I intended Delgado to have Spanish origins.

I know you haven't written it, I just mean the moment I read something from it I would immediately like the coon and want to write a fanfic about him, writing being one of my more stronger talents.

Well good luck giving him spanish origins if spain is in your book. Good luck fitting this world with yours. In the beginning I tried but there was too many complications. I just did it with Mossflower. Antonio was from spain, and spain and Mossflower can co exist because it's in my own fantasy land :D

I was contemplating whether or not I should have known countries and thought I should. I figured how it should work and added my own places. Suits me just fine.
