Forging an Alliance by 1-Renaissance Forging an Alliance by 1-Renaissance
From my first novel that's currently being written. I'll just cut to the chase and tell you what's going on.

Husk Reinstrom (squirrel in the middle) is trying to convince the otter chieftain Wolfiem and the squirrel queen Felka to make an alliance that would benefit both tribes and the Rebelpack (resistance fighters). They're both liking the idea it seems.

---Wolfiem: Chief of Wildstream otters, top Riverwolf, and twin brother of Kojen.

Riverwolf is a name given to river otter warriors. Sea otter warriors are known as Seawolves.

---Felka: Flying squirrel and queen of the Sprintwood tribe. The Sprintwood squirrels were astonished by her ability to glide long distances between trees. When she proved the victor in a death match against their leader, they made her their queen. It was a position she upheld well with courage and wisdom.

In past generations, flying squirrels never spoke but only used hand/paw signals and sounds. Felka learned to speak but has yet to improve. For instance, instead of saying "I" she uses her own name.

All this belongs to me.

Will you make more of the Flying squirrel? she's so cute and I have a fondness for them (small and cute) and then black squirrels and albino squirrels too

Oh yes I would! I really like this one but I'm afraid you'll find that there's nothing cute about this particular squirrel. Hehe, she'd shred your face. :D

I. Love. FELKA! She looks so cool!!!!! And the otter is good too; he really does look like a good skipper. The squirrel is cute; she kind of reminds me of Felldoh from the movie, but she's different, too. Maybe it's the facial expression.

Okay, squirrel in the middle is a dude. He just looks innocent. Either that or I screwed up.

I really love Flekka, too. She has an accent and has an odd way of talking as she leaves out some words and speaks in the 3rd person. Flying squirrels usually don't speak like others so it's rare that she can say anything at all.

Hm, maybe make the lines of the face bolder? Thicken eyebrows? Probably the second option. Men/males usually have thick eyebrows.

Heh, cool looking pair that otter and squirrel - they'd certainly work well together! :D
And the alliance would certainly benefit respectable woodlanders in general, in the event of a vermin-uprising in the future...

As usual, your pencil-work amazes me!

Honestly, I really do love them too. And I love that people love them. :D And I thank God that I could do this.

Sometimes I want to do just that myself, hug them. But I'll spare them the wrinkles. :D

Out of curiosity, do you draw?

Well that really is nice :) you certainly talk about God more than your sis.

The feeling I have with your drawings is the same one I had when I was first reading Mossflower. It was a swell feeling of great comfort that fills your whole body, a kind of pleasure that is innocent and only makes you think of all the good things in life. In short, your drawings to me make me feel like I could fly, that Im in the best dream of my life. Like the squirrel dream I had or when I once dreamed I was a pokemon. Just fantasies. Thats how my entire inspiration came to write about who I was and how I felt. Which is becoming my book Im writing now.

Sadly no, I dont draw :cries: :(, I used to and now and than I get this spark that allows me to draw somthing Im really proud of. But that hardly comes now. I hardly ever draw because I feel I lack the skill. The only things I draw are MY definition of rough sketches. All I do is take a black colored pencil and draw what I want without any erasing. I envy your drawings alot, wish I could draw like that. But God has given us our own individual talents. Mines are writing and voice acting, and yours well, drawing for sure I know is one, writing, I should say too. Why not ;), I havent even read anything of yours, but I wont doubt it. I just say writing is my gift from God because I could go so long with words and just keep writing for a long time. Plus lots of appraisle I was given. My history teacher even though I plagarized someone elses work when I turned in a narrative about a slave in the cival war. :XD:

Well she may not talk about God much, but that doesn't mean her faith isn't as strong. Sometimes she says "God, you're freakin' awesome, dude!"

But that's around me. :D

You're pretty poetic and open aren't you, mate? Is that what you feel? Something like an adrenaline rush? I feel that way when I'm reading, drawing, or listening to a song I love. I'm telling you, at the end of books (usually Redwall books), I just want to run until I take off into the air. That the same feeling?

You know you mentioned my drawings with such praise. You know it wasn't always like that. Compared to now, I sucked. I still have some drawings as a reminder of what I used to draw like. It so happens that my art improved and grew as I grew all these years. I should probably make some sort of chart with past drawings to show you what it was like. :D

Besides, I always loved drawing and looked up to others who drew better than I. That gave me motivation and a challenge to climb to new heights.

As far as writing goes, here's something. [link] So yeah, I absolutely love writing stories!

I know, but just because somone uses God in a sentence doesnt mean much. She tells me the same thing too. Its just you use it differently than she does, but I wont gossip about her behind her back, Im not that kind of person, if I would talk about her Id rather have her listen to every word.

I hate poetry :XD:, Poe is the only one I like because of his dark symbolism and writings. He inspired me to be a horror writier, but it turns out I had a different calling. :) I just love talking about myself and would usually ramble on about things in my life, which is why I write plenty of journals on here. I like talking to people about their needs to, but I cant help tell stories about my life and how I feel. I might write a memoir somtime in my life :p maybe. At the end of pirate books I listen to the pirates of the carribean theme song. And at the end of Redwall books I put my Ipod on shuffle and imagine me as a mouse (Antonio Guitarmouse, whom I imagined in every Redwall book because I was immortal and shared every adventure after mossflower. ITS A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG STORY to tell how I began imagining him, let me just say Mossflower was a book that changed my life Forever) anyway, I let it land on a rock song like Disturbed and I would imagine doing stuff with the other Redwallers, and the future of the book, usually Antonio would pack up, leave Redwall to go explorering until he finds his true love (That is part of the looooooooooooooooong story, but Id be happy to explain it :D.)

Its hard to explain this real awesome feeling, but here's somthing I think you could understand. In Narnia 2, I couldnt wait till it introduces Reepicheep, and when it did I was in such excitment I wanted to jump up and down and shout OOOHHH MMMYYY GGGAAAWWWDDD ITS A MOUSE!!!! A TALKING MOUSE!!! :D:D:D But he probably would've jumped out the screen and kill me :dead:. You ever have a feeling when you see a trailer for a movie and you feel that you just got to see it, and not hell or high water will stop you from watching it. Thats how I felt with happyfeet, I just needed to see it. Its a great comfort you feel, just a real nice warm feeling. I cant explain it that good unless I know somthing you really really really really love. Im not sure if its the same feeling as yours, since I dont really feel the same way about finishing a book, well, it depends what kind. My favorite book made me feel this awesome feeling, (Mossflower and A thousand Splendid Suns)

Your sister tells me the same story. Sadly Im not as passionate about drawing, I mean everytime I paint as a kid I always called myself Picaso, for encouragement. And I remember I used to love drawing. But from such an absence, now I cant draw. I put no sole into it :( all I think about is it better look good. I bring down myself before I get anywhere, than I scrap it, which is why all my talent is funneled toward writing. But I still try HARD to get better at drawing, and have patience for it. I also feel there is no hope, that I cant be good at everything, drawing, writing, acting. Im happy with what I can do rather than what I cant right now, but I'll try :)

I absolutely love writing stories too. Everything in my huge imagination I put down on paper, anything in my head I do, which is why I type REEEEEAAAALLLLYYYY long messages. Its the writer in me, I cant help it.

Your drawings make me feel a small portion of that comfort I stated above, which is why I love them so much. Like this other one in my favs that had a mouse on a mushroom playing a guitar. That made me feel the same way :D
